2. Đừng tạo áp lực cho người trầm cảm: Làm ơn! Đừng bao giờ tỏ ra thất vọng hay nói những câu đại loại như: "Trời ơi, tao đã cố gắng như vậy mà mày vẫn còn buồn hả?", "Sao suốt ngày cứ buồn hoài vậy?",... Những câu nói đó thật sự rất "độc ác" với người trầm cảm. Bởi vì chính học, chứ không phải là bạn, mới là người muốn thoát khỏi tình trạng thê thảm này nhất. Hơn nữa, những câu nói ấy sẽ tô đậm thêm suy nghĩ "mình đúng là đồ vô dụng, chỉ gây phiền phức cho mọi người" vốn dĩ đã tồn tại ngay trong suy nghĩ của người trầm cảm. Vì thế, đừng tạo bất cứ áp lực nào cho họ. Hãy cứ bao dung và nhẫn nại bằng tất cả sự chân thành.
3. Đừng ép người trầm cảm phải nói ra nỗi buồn của mình: một câu nói mà mình rất thường hay nghe là: "Buồn sao không nói ra đi?", "Có chuyện gì không chịu nói rồi bây giờ ức chế trầm cảm",... Sự thật là, có những nỗi buồn mà họ sẽ chẳng thể nói ra, hoặc họ không muốn nhắc đến nữa. Vì khi nói ra, cảm giác kinh khủng của câu chuyện ấy sẽ ùa về, thật không dễ chịu chút nào! Cách tốt nhất là hãy ngồi kế bên họ, ôm lấy họ, nắm chặt tay họ, cho họ thấy rằng bạn yêu thương và quan tâm họ thế nào. Thay vì cứ mải hỏi về nỗi buồn của họ, hãy kể những câu chuyện vui, tạo nên bầu không khí thật vui vẻ thoải mái. Khi họ sẵn sàng, họ sẽ chủ động chia sẻ mọi chuyện với bạn.
